Profile: Overcast moved to Takamatsu for the first time in January of 2000 and stayed for one year. After moving back home to the States for about 6 months he moved back to Japan, this time to Matsuyama, Ehime. He worked there for a few months before transferring back to Takamatsu and has been here ever since…
Overcast is a slave to vinyl and foolishly spends any extra money he has on records and CDs… He enjoys listening to most anything but is currently into minimalist soundscapes, and some of his favorite musicians/ performers include the Legendary Pink Dots, Michael Cashmore, Slowdive Current 93 and others, though this changes almost weekly
Overcast sometimes moonlights as a live show photographer for hardcore/punk shows and has photographed numerous hardcore bands here in Takamatsu. He hopes one day to compile these images into a book of sorts…
Overcast was born in Albuquerque NM USA but raised in Boston MA. He possesses a BFA from Montserrat College of Art located in Beverly Mass. with a concentration in Photo and fine art painting.
His favorite artists are Jim Dine, the Starn Twins, Dave Mckean, Daido Moriyama, Jasper Johns and Joel Peter Witkin.
Overcast is interested in the narrative possibilities of photographic images and takes pictures the way he wishes he could paint.

紹介: 2000年に初めて来日。1年間の滞在を経て米国に帰るものの6ヶ月で母国を後にする。松山を経て以来高松に定住。
レコードマニアで有り金は全てCD，レコードに・・・。ジャンルを問わず何でも聴くが、特に好きなジャンルはミニマル。好きなアーティストはLegendary Pink Dots、 Michael Cashmore、 Slowdive、 Current 93など週替わり。
また、裏で（？）パンクやハードコアのライブ撮影活動も行っており、高松でも数々のバンドの写真を収めている。いつの日か写真集を作成予定。
米国ニューメキシコ州アルバカーキ生まれボストン育ち。Montserrat College of Artでアートを専攻し、写真、絵画を専門とする。
Jim Dine, The Starn Twins, Dave Mckean, 森山大道, Jasper Johns and Joel Peter Witkinに影響を受ける。ありのままを絵にすることができれば・・・という思いを胸に写真にストーリー性を求め、撮り続けている。
