Profile: Being someone who lives in one of the most crowdest cities in the world—Hong Kong, I have been profoundly inspired by the people that I’ve met, the public and private spaces and places and artwork installations I’ve seen in throughout Japan over the years.  In April 2004, I had my first taste of the less non-touristy spot (for visitors who live outside of Japan, anyway) —the Shikoku area visiting Takamatsu, Naoshima and Kotohira.  I was then uttlerly impressed by Naoshima, which really get me started practicing more often as an amateur photographer using 6X6 film cameras.  Recently, I’ve started getting into the world of digital photography with a classic looking Olympus EP-1.

Having been a very fond traveller to Japan since the early 2000s, Alex Hui (who is now my hubby – since Spring 2009) and I have been keep back to Kagawa regularly – sometimes together, or on our own seperately, both of us have built very strong ties with Kagawa, Naoshima and Takamatsu, in particular.  Altogether we’ve been to Naoshima for nearly 20 times over the past four or five years, Alex is currently leading a team representing a group from Hong Kong consisting of artists and students studying architecture, fine arts, sociology, to participate in the upcoming Setouchi International Art Festival 2010 (http://setouchi-artfest.jp).
